After two years of extensive renovations, Au Coin du Camionneur, also known as Trucker's Corner, opened in Luskville on Sunday June 17.

Owners Benoit Galipeau and Robert Bergeron have completely reconfigured the building at the corner of the Eardley-Masham Road and Highway 148. New lighting, comfortable seating and large windows that open onto a breezy patio create an inviting ambience.

Manager Melanie Fortin has years of experience in the food industry. She has a staff of nine, including three cooks. The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day and delivery is available.

A huge airbrush painting of truck adorns the back wall of the restaurant.

Fortin says they are expecting plenty of business from the many trucks that travel the road. Part of the improvements to the site included enlarging the parking area to the side of the building to allow truck drivers to park comfortably.

This fireplace is a nice touch for cold winter mornings.

The restaurant features a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. Draft beer will be on tap as soon as the permit is granted. There is an extensive pizza menu, including the Camionneur speciality, topped with BBQ chicken.

Fortin was delighted with their opening day, with a busy morning and a reservation for 29 people that evening.

The restaurant is easy to spot! Look for the cool old yellow tow-truck at the intersection of Eardley-Masham Road and Highway 148.
