So ask yourself: do you feel ducky? Well, do you?
If so, find yourself a member of the Quyon Lionettes who can sell you a ticket for the annual Duck Race, to be held on June 5th.
One thousand ducks will be launched in spectacular style from a front-end loader off the Egan Street bridge at 2 p.m. and the winner named at the Clarendon Street bridge approximately 30 or so minutes later, depending on water levels. There will also be a fun day event at the soccer field, according to Lionette Joan Belsher.
Tickets cost $5. First prize, $1000; second prize $500 and third prize $250: worth it!
Once more, funds raised by the race go to the two schools in Quyon: Ste. Marie and Onslow Elementary.
Many quacks of gratitude for all your hard work and constant support, Lionettes!
